About My Immigration Law Firm
I’m Rafael “Ace” S. Climaco, an immigration attorney with over 20 years of experience. I have built my career on a passion for helping people accomplish their immigration dreams. As the son of immigrants, I understand firsthand the joys and struggles of starting a new life in the United States. That personal connection to the immigration experience enables me to walk alongside clients with a deep understanding of their needs.
I am well-versed in the many nuances of immigration law, which is notoriously complex. For many years, I taught immigration law at John F. Kennedy University (later called the John F. Kennedy School of Law of National University). My work in the field has also earned me professional recognition. I have been selected for inclusion in the Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for multiple years.
Based in Walnut Creek, I serve clients throughout the entire Bay Area. Learn more about my background:
Rich History Of Lawyers
I come from a strong lineage of lawyers rooted in the Philippines. My grandfather served as a justice on the Philippine Appeals Court. My uncle, Cesar Climaco, was a national hero in the Philippines. A revered politician and freedom fighter, he was the mayor of Zamboanga City and a presidential cabinet member. He is remembered for his courageous opposition to the Marcos dictatorship and his unwavering commitment to democracy and human rights. This heritage of public service influences my approach to immigration law. I am passionate about the work I do and the positive, far-reaching impact I make on the lives of individuals and families worldwide.

In my practice, I handle a comprehensive range of immigration cases, including:
- Immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, both family-based and employment-based
- Adjustment of Status
- Citizenship and naturalization
- Asylum and other forms of humanitarian protection
